Overall, it was an enjoyable evening that could've been so much better without the problems. I gave up on the slots and decided to play blackjack, where I actually won for a change of pace. The casino had to have lost alot of money with the downtime created by this problem that caused the slot machines to accept cash-only. This situation caused long lines backing up at the cashier windows as people waited to cash out their tickets. This was probably a blessing as the floor computers developed a glitch that did not allow gamblers to use their ticket receipts in other slot machines or (worse yet) the ticket cashout machines. The casino floor was active, but not very crowded. The prime rib was a grisly disappointment). The dinner was topped off with a nice dessert (This was the best part of the meal. I wonder if the casino host staff plans dreary entertainment in order to induce the guests to eat and then go gamble. These two really cleared out the event center within ten minutes of when they started playing. Some rather lame entertainment was provided by a very forgettable piano duet. Starting with a buffet dinner of prime rib and potatoes, there were the usual complimentary party favors and noisemakers. New Year's Eve in 2013 was a pleasant event at the Little River.
